As an alternative to inventory using the wizard, the autonomous discovery module can be used. This is provided as a standalone executable file and generates a result file that can then be imported into Docusnap via the File Import.

The Discovery-HPE.exe module supports the inventory of the following HPE storage systems:

HPE Alletra
HPE Primera
HPE 3PAR

The following parameters are required for the inventory:

-t: URL of the HPE storage system including port (default: 8080)
-u: Username
-p: Password for the user

An example call could look like this:

C:\Docusnap\Discovery-HPE.exe -t https://storage.example.com:8080 -u admin -p Password123

For a complete capture of all relevant data, a user with sufficient read permissions on the HPE storage system is required. Additionally, it must be ensured that the storage system is reachable via the network and that the configured port (default: 8080) is open.

The Discovery-HPE.exe module must be started via the command line. After the inventory is complete, a result file is created in the same directory as the module. This file contains all relevant information about the HPE storage system and can then be imported into Docusnap.
