Discovery-Mac

As an alternative to inventory via the wizard, the autonomous discovery module can be used. This is executed directly on the Mac system and generates a result file, which is then imported into Docusnap via File Import.

The following module is available for inventorying Mac systems:

• Discovery-Mac – For Mac OS X and newer.

After the Discovery-Mac module has been copied to the target system, execution permission must be granted using chmod 755. The inventory is started with the following command:

chmod 755 Discovery-Mac
